School Introduction

Cork English College(CEC) is located in the heart of Cork City in South West Ireland.

It is a school committed to providing the highest quality teaching available, while still retaining an elusive and unique quality- the personal touch. CEC is a family run business established over 30 years ago. The school is jointly run by Valery Cullen and her son Marc. Over 30,000 students have passed through the doors of CEC since it first opened in 1978.

The school is a member of Quality English and indeed were the first college in Ireland to be given this accolade, proof that the schools unique blend of high quality teaching in a friendly environment really works. CEC is recognised by the Department of Education for teaching English as a foreign language. CEC’s education is accessible, inclusive and flexible. At CEC programmes are offered year round thus catering for the needs of each and every client.

CEC arranges everything from courses and social activities to cultural projects and a variety of accommodation options, all of which are arranged inhouse by the college’s highly qualified and dedicated team.
