Equinox facilitate new Cambridge English First preparation classes in 2020

Yesterday, Equinox re-commenced Cambridge English First (B2 level) preparation classes with teacher Paddy Brennan at our Carlow learning centre.  A new intake of six overseas students, who are currently studying during the academic year in Ireland, signed up to a course of twelve classes that are designed to assist them in the improvement of their overall English, with a focus on the competencies of reading, use of English, writing, listening and speaking.

The course will culminate this May with all of the students undertaking the accredited Cambridge English First exam at our partner’s, Dublin and Dún Laoghaire ETB, authorised exam centre. Students that pass will be awarded the Cambridge English: First certificate.

Speaking at the start of the 12-week course, Equinox’s Director of Studies Noel Doyle commented “we’re delighted to be facilitating what is now our third consecutive preparation course, which is overseen by of our accredited and most experienced teacher in comfortable class conditions, with full assistance and all materials provided at our learning centre”. He added “our facilitation of these additional English lessons follow requests from our agent partners and indeed, direct requests from students seeking an accredited English qualification during their time in Ireland.  We believe that The Cambridge English: First for Schools certificate fulfills this demand perfectly”.
