Equinox to Exhibit at the National Ploughing Championships, Carlow
September heralds a very busy month for the Equinox team as it not only marks the start of our busy academic year period, but also our exhibitions and conference season.
Without even drawing breath on what has been our most successful summer period ever, facilitating nearly 500 international students coming to Ireland to learn English, we now turn our attention to our out-bound study-abroad options for Irish students. Equinox Education Services are therefore delighted to be showcasing Study Abroad opportunities for individuals, schools and groups at both the National Ploughing Championships (Carlow, Ireland 17th – 19th September 2019), and just a week later at the 2019 Transition Year Show (Punchestown, Ireland 24th – 25th September 2019).
Our aim at these events is to demonstrate the myriad of study abroad options for people of all ages, whether they be a transition year or leaving cert. student preparing for an exam as an individual or part of a school group, or indeed a more mature person wishing to improve their language proficiency through a cultural experience; Equinox cater for everyone.
Our first event, The National Ploughing Championships, which will kick off next Tuesday the 17th of September, is expected to generate millions of euro in revenue for the local economy, with over 280,000 visitors and more than 1,500 trade stands expected to descend on Carlow for 3 days.
Equinox will be exhibiting alongside 28 other companies in the ‘inCarlow’ Enterprise, Education, Experience & Tourism Pavilion, which is an initiate by Carlow County Council in partnership with Carlow Tourism, Institute of Technology Carlow and Carlow College to showcase the very best that County Carlow has to offer in these sectors.
Noel Doyle, Managing Director of Equinox Education Services said that “our whole team are excited to be exhibiting alongside many other indigenous Carlow companies at this huge event to present the very best of what our county can offer in our respective areas of expertise in enterprise, education and tourism”. He continued to say “we also see the National Ploughing Championships as a fantastic way to engage directly with many people who may not be aware of the opportunities that exist in travelling for education, so this is an ideal way for us outline its unique benefits, as well as dispel any misconceptions about study abroad costs and safety”.
In addition to receiving free advice from the Equinox team, visitors to the stand will be offered the chance to enter Equinox’s ploughing competition to win an aer lingus travel voucher. To enter, participants simply need to post a picture, message, or tweet on social media with the hashtag #EquinoxPloughing and a line about what language they would like to study abroad e.g. #French. The winner will be drawn at random.
Equinox Education Services looks forward to meeting everyone at the inCarlow Exhibition (located at Block No. 2 – Row No. 20 – Stand No. 438, Unit 26).
