Cambridge English Preparation Course
Equinox offers Cambridge English preparation courses, as well as Academic English support, twice a year during the academic year programme.
This programme is ideal for all students interested in preparing for Cambridge First or Advanced, and is particularly suitable for those who are unable to travel to Carlow.
Courses are held both face-to-face (Carlow area only) and remotely for students outside the Carlow area.
About Cambridge English
Cambridge English Qualifications are in-depth exams that make learning English enjoyable, effective and rewarding. They are a mark of excellence, accepted and trusted by thousands of organisations worldwide. Equinox’s Cambridge English preparation courses (both online and in person) are designed to assist students who wish to achieve a higher level of English language proficiency and accredited assessment in the skills of reading, use of English, writing, listening and speaking.
The course draws on the experience of Equinox’s founder, Noel Doyle, and teacher Patrick Brennen, who together have over 35 years’ experience teaching English to Director of Studies level. Students attending either 12-week programme will take their exam in Carlow or at the nearest authorised Cambridge English test centre in Ireland.
Students who pass their exam will be awarded a Cambridge English First (CEF) or Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) certificate, depending on their level.

This programme consists of ten classes of 2 hours weekly from September

Lessons per week: 2 Hours per week
Equinox also arranges to give students a FULL Mock exam as well as arranging for students to take the official exam with our partners in Ireland.
