On-line Cambridge English Preparation Course

Equinox are delighted to offer a new on-line Cambridge English Preparation course from September 2020. These classes will take place in addition to our physical classes (attended by students studying in Ireland for the 2020/21 academic year). The on-line course is available as an option for all interested students, but particularly those that are unable to travel to Ireland or for those that may have already returned from their academic year here and wish to undertake a refresher course or achieve a higher level.

About Cambridge English

Cambridge English Qualifications are in-depth exams that make learning English enjoyable, effective and rewarding and are a mark of excellence, accepted and trusted by thousands of organisations worldwide. Equinox’s Cambridge English Preparation courses (both on-line and physical) are designed to assist students wishing to achieve a higher level of English language learning and accredited assessment through the competencies of reading, use of English, writing, listening and speaking.

The course draws on the experience of Equinox’s founder, Noel Doyle and teacher Patrick Brennen, who between them have over 35 years teaching English experience to a Director of Studies level. Students attending either 12-week programme, will either take their exam in Ireland or at the closest authorised Cambridge English test centre to their location abroad. Students that pass their exam will be awarded a Cambridge English First (CEF) or Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) certificate, depending on their level.

Equinox also arrange to give students a FULL Mock exam as well as arranging for students to take the official exam with our partners in Dublin.

Covid-19 Information

  1. Due to the prevailing concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, class-based* lessons are strictly restricted to 7 students in total, who will be socially-distanced and be required observe health and safety protocols in compliance with both the building’s and Equinox’s own Fáilte Ireland accredited COVID-19 Safety Charter. 
  2. On-Line group lessons are also available on request*.  

*In the event of additional Level 5 restrictions at this time ALL classes will be taught online for the duration of the lockdown.
